The Company

As the name suggests, Ceramica Dolomite was born in Trichiana in 1965 in the shadow of the mountains which rise from Belluno and range across the border between Italy and Austria. For those who live and work there the mountain theme symbolises concrete ideas, practical intentions as well as conviction in the tackling of obstacles which stand in the way of success. When these attitudes and aims are transferred to a company they make up the ideology of the firm which in turn leads to remarkable entrepreneurial feats, as demonstrated by the success stories which apply to numerous manufacturing activities in the area. Ceramica Dolomite puts its success in its sector down to this spirit of enterprise. The task of gaining market share, of creating an image, of expanding within Italy and abroad, of keeping up with technological advances in production techniques, of producing a range of products which is able to satisfy the demands of the client, all would be impossible to achieve without determination and strategic actions which are both flexible yet unrelentingly focussed on reaching the targets which have been set.

Making the most of its ever-increasing production capacity, its evident commercial dynamism as well as new market trends, the company expanded its range, concentrated on products which are more formal in character, increasing the number of sanitary ware ranges and using famous designers such as Marco Zanuso, Luigi Molinis and Piano Design Workshop or specialists in the field of ceramics such as Antonio Bullo. This was the beginning of the company’s recent history, characterised by constant increases in quality, increasing market share, the acquisition of Ceramiche Senesi, the constant increase in brand value, expansion of exports, innovation and enlargement of the range of products with the introduction of basin units, baths and brassware.

In 2007 Ceramica Dolomite established itself as Ideal Standard International (an independent and privately-owned headquartered in Brussels company since 1 November, 2007) noteworthy local brand.
Ceramica Dolomite still distinguish itself by mountain inherited values as commitment, tradition and work, which grant its grassroots to get stronger and to aspire to the future.
